Matt - Williamsburg Waterfront

Waterfront Pictures

I revisted the waterfront for portraits for this and next week. It felt like the beginning of the end of summer since it was the last of the Jelly NYC shows. Grizzly Bear and Beach House performed on a what ended up being beautiful day near the East River.

In many ways, I have felt that the Jelly NYC shows have served visually as a good indicator of the changing face of the neighborhood. I remember a few years ago, when shows were at the pool, they would often be half full, even with great bands, and local breweries and vendors dominated the scene. Now there are many, many new faces, with lines around the block, and mostly corporate vendors (there are exceptions).

Also, did anyone notice the Duane Reade going in on Kent in what I think is "The Edge" apartment complex? Crazy.
